Hello all,

I just joined this forum after deciding I needed to understand what is going on.

My main question is about the fact that for the last few months (maybe more) I have lost a lot of desire to eat food. I can go with just one meal a day and drinks in between. Even then I eat more because my tummy feels empty and a bit nauseous (sort of) than because I'm hungry.

Connected to this is that more than 6 years ago I suddenly developed a tummy problem after coming back from holiday in Asia. I have had it checked out under a specialist - no gluten issue, no disease, nothing they could find. This has been getting worse (loose motions every morning, though it doesn't bother me apart from it not being 'normal'), but at the same time my appetite has gone right down.

Btw I am veggie.

Having researched this a bit I came across sun gazing and am interested to do that but am concerned about the risks (blindness).

If anyone can help make make sense of any of the above I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance.

Well, I would recommend as a starting point this website I came across first in 2007 by Alenara:

It has very good information her personal experience, and gives both esoteric and scientific understanding of the phenomenon of breatharianism. But her version is a bit more advanced and goes into living on light which is a bit different than most people's idea which is prana through breath which I personally don't agree with. I guess it depends on your spiritual development which one will work better for you.

I have some years of experience doing sungazing and if done properly you won't go blind. See there is no UV at the sunrise or sunset. You would gaze the sun just like a relaxed look at television, and do it within one hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset, we call that the "safe sun". Also sunbathing should for example not be done in the midday sun as that is harmful. So there are different times. Some have done sungazing when the sun is high in the sky and for your safety PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN WHEN IT IS HIGH you may well go blind. I started with 10 seconds and increased by 10 seconds each time at the sunrise or sunset eventually working up to a full 22 minutes but gave up on it for various reasons, partly cause I believe it's nonsense that you will become breatharian by gazing the sun, but that's only my personal belief.

Actually I think meditation, if done properly could be more useful. Most however are not using meditation correctly and thus do not get results. When told to visualize and create various pictures or thoughtforms that is not meditation, it's called thinking. Also contemplation is not to be confused with meditation as it's a completely different process. Meditation is simply putting the mind to sleep, or alpha brain waves. There would be NO thoughts, just aware mind. In that state one can absorb cosmic energy much faster and in larger amounts. Focusing on the space not between thought as Buddha taught but before the energy behind thinkingness even starting to come into manifestation as a thought form and withdrawing energy/interest from this will starting to disassemble this process from happening. You don't get result from trying to fight the process of thinking, just take away the interest. At more advanced levels of consciousness, there is not the need for mind, as one is not the body or mind, and there are no problems to solve or things to do as one is all and all is one, complete and perfect. We only believe we are not because of identifying with the false ego self.

I am not breatharian though I believe I could be. Eating solid foods takes all my energy and I feel absolutely terrible. It's difficult for me to eat much of any solid food without extreme discomfort. My stomach has shrunk considerably over the years. I can handle liquids OK it seems. It has taken some years to get to this point. The body goes through changes with intention. Spiritual intention is 1,000 times more powerful than intellectual effort because it's coming from a higher level which can act much faster through grace, whereas the intellect is little more than entertainment/distraction for the ego in my experience. Ask for what you want, if it has good intentions, and is in line with your spirit, you will get it, so be careful what you ask for.

You said you appetite has gone down, I would suggest you trust that. And the stomach discomfort could be some adjustments? Perhaps that will clear in time.

Wish you the best,
